Why we work with the Singapore system?
Primary
The Primary Curriculum aligns itself with the Singaporean Curriculum which focuses on the three learning domains: Life Skills, Knowledge Skills and Subject Based Learning which ensures the acquisition of knowledge and values and competencies to face the challenges of the 21st century.
Further on the Subject Based Learning key learning techniques and methodology to ensure our children get the strong foundation of the Singapore education system in areas such as English, Maths and Science.
The key subjects adapted from the Singapore system are English, Maths and Science.
International Primary Curriculum, Fieldwork Education
Fieldwork Education IPC - International Primary Curriculum provides international curriculum and professional learning to more than 15,000 teachers, in over 2000 schools, in 98 countries globally.
To ensure the best global learning, IPC, internaitnal primary curriculum, which is used in over 2000 schools globally is also part of the curriculum for Singapore Overseas School.
These first years of a child’s education are vital for developing their critical thinking and problem solving skills and, as such, we have created an environment in which our young students feel empowered to ask questions, safe to meet challenges head on, and accompanied on their journey towards reaching their full potential.
